Julia is the trainer behind Perfect Partnerships. At a very young age, Julia discovered her love for dogs. She began to study dog training at the age of 5, reading as many books as she could get her hands on and versing herself in dog breeds, behavior, and training principles. When she was 14, she began training and showing her own dog in Colorado, and by the time she was 15 she was training dogs for her community and leading group classes at the park. She then moved to Wyoming and taught the 4-H dog training project and further developed her training style while working with clients in Wyoming. She has now moved back to Fort Collins, Colorado and focusing on rehabilitating problem behaviors. Julia hopes she can make a lasting difference in the lives of people and animals through her work and strives to always increase her knowledge of training principles.
Julia has three dogs of her own, her retired 4-H/family dog, a Chinese Crested future show dog and large breed rescue puppy. Julia stands strongly behind responsible rescue and spay/neuter incentives as well as responsible breeders who work to rid dogs of genetic weaknesses. Julia works to raise awareness to work towards a world where all dogs have loving homes and are born healthy.
